There's rhetorical fuckery at play in politics, and it's not fair. Not that anyone said it would be fair, but the administration is clearly hoping to obviate thought in the population...
Reading that the Conservos/Reps are playing on people's fear, I'd like to introduce this quote for consideration:
"... voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger."*
One of the main dangers apparently facing good, wholesome 'merikin society is the full-frontal attack on marriage:
The president drew applause when he reiterated his long-held stance that marriage was “a union between a man and a woman,” adding, “I believe it’s a sacred institution that is critical to the health of our society and the well-being of families, and it must be defended.”
Personally, I haven't seen any actual news to that effect, but that must be your very liberal media playing into the hands of the queers. If there is an attack on marriage, why in the world would it hold the institution of marriage itself as a good thing? Can someone call a timeout and define the terms for me?
Feminists are next next in the "who is doing this to us" assault, beware ye who wed not for the sake of patriarchy-bucking. You too are attacking whatever is conservatively co-opted as a core value.
*Hermann Goering, 1944
